Application Designer is the PeopleSoft IDE, it is the number one PeopleTool.
The main capabilities of the Application Designer is:
- Create and edit Fields (and their translate pages and Field Formats)
- Create and edit Records (database tables and views, virtual derived records, and temporary records for Application Engine processes)
- Create and edit Pages (including sub pages and secondary pages)
- Create and edit Components
- Create and edit Menus (for security)
- Create and Edit Business Workflow processes
- Create and Edit Application Engines (batch programs)
- Create and edit PeopleCode programs (on Pages, Records, Components and Application Packages)
- Create and edit Application Packages (Object orientated programming)
From within Application Designer, you can start the following applications:
- PeopleSoft Query (2 tier)
- PeopleSoft Object Security
