Application Designer is the PeopleSoft IDE, it is the number one PeopleTool.

The main capabilities of the Application Designer is:

  • Create and edit Fields (and their translate pages and Field Formats)
  • Create and edit Records (database tables and views, virtual derived records, and temporary records for Application Engine processes)
  • Create and edit Pages (including sub pages and secondary pages)
  • Create and edit Components
  • Create and edit Menus (for security)
  • Create and Edit Business Workflow processes
  • Create and Edit Application Engines (batch programs)
  • Create and edit PeopleCode programs (on Pages, Records, Components and Application Packages)
  • Create and edit Application Packages (Object orientated programming)
